Personalizing your gift
At Elgin Academy, taking learning personally takes the support of our entire community, and we greatly appreciate how generous our families, alumni, faculty and staff members, and trustees continue to be.
Ways of giving include cash, pledges, matching gifts, gifts of stock, and planned gifts. For more information, please refer to giving options on this page or contact Shannon Howell, Assistant Head of School for Institutional Advancement.
All gifts are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. You may designate your gift to: Greatest Need, Financial Aid, Academic Programs, Co-Curricular Programs, or Faculty Development. Gifts may also be made in honor and in memory of someone special.

Gifts of stock
By giving appreciated stock that you have held for more than one year, you will be eligible to receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value, and you can also avoid capital gains tax. Contact the Office of Development to receive more information about gifts of stock.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees to EA. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. Click here to find out if your company has a matching gift policy.

Gifts of goods and services are always welcomed. There are many different needs at Elgin Academy, and these donations can be distributed where best suited.Please note that as employees of Elgin Academy, we are prohibited from giving legal or financial advice, and nothing we have provided should be interpreted as such.
