About
Extravaganza
Extravaganza is the second-largest fundraising effort of the year at
Elgin Academy and is touted as the most elegant event of its kind in the
Fox River area. A black-tie dinner auction, this event raises close to
$200,000 for the school's operating budget. |
The auction items range from vacation home rentals in exotic locations
to gift certificates for local car washes.
Everyone is asked to help to make this event a success by donating items
for the silent and live auction. Parents, alumni, and friends can also
help increase the event's profitability by purchasing an ad for the
catalog. The event itself is a wonderfully elegant evening complete with
a delicious dinner, a full open bar, lively interaction, and friendly
competitive bidding.
