Ways to Give to EA

There are many ways to support EA. Here are a few options for giving opportunities:

Annual Fund | Planned Giving | Restricted Gifts
Gifts in Kind | Stock Gifts | Rebate Program | "No Cost" Fundraisers

  Annual Fund
The Annual Fund is Elgin Academy's most important fundraising program. As is true of all independent school education, tuition alone does not cover the full cost of educating a child...<more>

  Planned Giving
Click here to view this special "Planned Giving" website.

  Restricted Gifts
Often, our donors wish to make gifts for a certain project, such as planting a garden, purchasing uniforms for a sports team, or funding a particular academic program. Such gifts are welcome and called "restricted" because the donor is specifying the use for the funds. Click here to make a restricted gift to EA now!

  Gifts in Kind
Elgin Academy has been blessed with many "in kind" gifts such as computers, furniture, and supplies. If you'd like to make an in kind gift, please contact please contact Frank Podkul by e-mail or phone at 847.695.0300, ext.226.

  Stock Gifts
A gift of stock benefits you in two ways. You avoid capital gains tax on the increased value, and you receive a deduction for the full market value of the stock at the time you made the gift. If you would like to make a gift of stock, please contact Frank Podkul by e-mail or phone at 847.695.0300, ext.226.

  Schoolpop/OneCause Rebate Program

  Additional Ways to Give
There are many other gift vehicles available that offer tax savings and benefits such as life insurance, life income gifts, charitable lead trusts, and real estate.
