EA Middle School Spring Musical
2013
Mark your calendars! This year’s EA Middle School Musical is School House Rock Live Jr. Broadway Jr.’s website calls Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr.! ”…one of musical theatre’s brightest and most innovative shows. Based on the Emmy Award-winning 1970’s educational cartoon series, Schoolhouse uses a plethora of musical styles to teach grammar, math, science, history, social studies, and political science while telling the story of Tom, a young teacher nervously anticipating his first day on the job.” If you were alive in the 1970s, you will remember these with a smile!
Auditions for School House Rock Live! Jr. will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, January 15th and 16th from 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Thursday, January 17th will be callbacks from 3:00 – 4:30 pm. Those students hoping for a lead role will need to be available most Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and older students will be given priority. The cast includes roles for 6 principles and 12-16 in the company. Both boys and girls are needed but there is no set number for either. Students may also volunteer to help with the tech crew (set, sound, etc.). Performances will be the morning of Friday, April 26th for the Lower School, and Saturday evening, April 27th and Sunday afternoon, April 28th for the general public. All performances will take place in the Kimball St. Theatre. Contact Mrs. Janik with any questions. This should be a great show!
