The Elgin Academy Athletic Department’s mission is to provide an athletic opportunity for each of its student athletes
and teams in order to be competitive in interscholastic sports. This is
achieved through:
- Developing the knowledge, skills,
attitudes (respect, sportsmanship, competitive spirit, self-discipline,
passion, leadership), and teamwork (cooperation, trust, friendship)
necessary for the students to have a positive experience, to achieve
their fullest potential, to strive for success, to be confident about
their place in the world, and proudly represent Elgin Academy on the
athletic field.
- Stressing a proactive partnership of coaches, faculty, parents, and students.
- Being an integral part of the educational program stressing honesty, respect, fairness, and accepting of diversity.
