Application Process

Step 1 - Submit the online application

  • Create an account in our secure admissions portal.
  • Fill out the online application and submit the $52 application fee.

Step 2 - Complete required checklist items

  • Request student records/transcripts from previous school.
  • Teacher recommendations (one from an English teacher, and one from a Math teacher.)
  • Students may also need to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE).

Step 3 - Schedule a shadow day

Making the decision of where to send your child to school is an important one. Elgin Academy's Admissions department led by Bonita Gost, Director of Admissions, is always available to assist and answer questions for prospective new members of our community. Bonita's daughter, Amelia, graduated from Elgin Academy in 2017 so she has also experienced Elgin Academy as a parent, giving her a unique insight into the prospective parent experience.
