What is The Hilltopper Fund?

The Hilltopper Fund is our yearly fundraiser that enhances Elgin Academy in countless ways by providing support to our students, faculty, and programs.

Donations to the 2019-2020 Hilltopper Fund will be accepted until the end of our fiscal year on June 30, 2020.

How much should I give?

Giving Societies

Giving is a highly personal decision, and we encourage you to make a gift in support of our students that is meaningful to you. We appreciate every gift that is made to Elgin Academy.

Through our giving societies, we celebrate donors who are dedicated to strengthening Elgin Academy with donations made to the Hilltopper Fund, Extravaganza, and other special projects. Thank you!

Hilltop Circle

Members of the Hilltop Circle are recognized as leadership donors. We will honor members who donate $2,750 or more at a special reception at Extravaganza. Members who donate $6,000 or more will also be recognized at a fall reception.

Ways to give

Your donation will be accepted in any of the following ways:

Cash Gifts

Gifts to Elgin Academy can be made via cash or check (payable to Elgin Academy).

Credit Card

Elgin Academy accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Gifts of Stock

By giving appreciated stock that you have held for more than one year, you will be eligible to receive a charitable income tax deduction for the full market value, and you can also avoid capital gains tax.

Matching Gifts

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees to EA. If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer and send it completed and signed with your gift.

All gifts are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
