PEAK Program Parameters
Students will begin in PEAK at the beginning of the full school year in the fall, not at the midpoint or any other time during the school year.
Admission will be based on students’ cognitive ability as determined by a psychologist using a Full-Scale Intelligence Quotient measure as well as comprehensive psychological educational evaluation completed by a licensed psychologist within the past two years of the application date. Preferred testing includes, but is not limited to, WISC-IV or WPPSI IV, and WIAT-4, GORT-5, or CTOPP-2.
PEAK will eventually be available to students in third through eighth grades. The program will be phased in during the course of upcoming school years starting with:
- 5th and 6th grades during the 2022-2023 school year.
- And, at least 4th and 7th grades in 2023-2024.

PEAK is dedicated to supporting students specifically diagnosed with language-based learning differences. This program does not support students with other diagnoses such as Tourette’s, Asperger’s, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Delay, Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Nonverbal Learning Disorders, as well as emotional or behavioral disorders.
